-
Keep framework and conveyor belts clean of dirt build-up, grease and oil residues.
-
Inspect the conveyor belts for wear
-
Inspect for worn or broken electrical connections.
-
If supplied, check that all casters are in the locked position.
-
-
-
Inspect the drive belts for proper belt tension and belt tracking. Refer to Service and Maintenance Procedures. Note: Correct tension and tracking will prolong belt and drive bearing life.
-
Lubricate the Uni-Drive side-belt drive chain. Machines are shipped from the factory lubricated with food-grade grease (JAX – Magna-Plate 44-2 from Behnke Lubricants).
-
Cycle the height and width adjustments and check for binding. The adjustment screws use nuts made from engineering plastics that should not normally require lubrication. If required, use a light food-grade lubricant (CRC Food Plant Silicone 73040 or equivalent). Excessive lubrication will collect corrugate dust or other debris.
-
Inspect the electric motor and gearbox for evidence of oil leakage, noise or vibration and keep unit free of dirt; excess accumulation of dirt or grease will affect the proper cooling of the units.
-
The gear reducer has a synthetic lubricant that should not normally require replacement (the lubricant used is Klubersynth UH-1 6-640 as is on a gear unit label).

-
Remove the drive belts. The drive and idle pulleys should be inspected for bearing wear and pulley damage. Remove any dirt build-up before drive belts are re-installed. Refer to Service and Maintenance Procedures.
-
Check the tension of the Uni-Drive side-belt chain drive. Note: Proper tension is achieved when the horizontal sag in the chain measures between 1/8” and ¼” with the drive belts in a fully opened position. Refer to Service and Maintenance Procedures.
-
Check the arch cross-member vertical slide adjustment for looseness and wear. Excessive play may affect the taping performance. Refer to the Service and Maintenance Procedures.
-
Check and lubricate the swivel casters if equipped.
-
Check for any loose or missing fasteners.
