Minor Versionm

by Karl Meinert

Introduction

Adjustment of the jaw plates for case wall thickness is made at the factory for the sample cases and only needs adjustment if there is a significant change in case blank thickness (for example, from single‐wall to double‐wall corrugate material).

  1. Measure the thickness of the case wall.
    • Measure the thickness of the case wall.

  2. Loosen the four socket-head capscrews holding the minor jaw plate mounting bracket.
    • Loosen the four socket-head capscrews holding the minor jaw plate mounting bracket.

    • Do not completely remove the capscrews.

    • Close the jaw plates by hand.

    • Using a tape measure, adjust the horizontal position of the minor jaw plate until there is a gap between the two jaw plates that equals 2 x (case width) + 1/16".

    • For example, if the case wall width is 1/4", the gap between the two jaw plates should be 9/16". (2 x 1/4" + 1/16")

    • Tighten the four socket-head capscrews holding the minor jaw plate mounting bracket.

    • Do not overtighten the capscrews.
