1-Remove the through-bolts that secure the machine to the shipping base

2-Raise the machine to install the footpad extensions or caster extensions to the bottom of each leg and adjust them for the desired operating height. In some applications the machine may be mounted directly on the front of a case sealer using a special bottom mounting bracket.

3-Position the machine where it is to be used.

If standing directly on the floor, the base of the frame should be made level to ensure personnel safety, provide optimum performance, and avoid frame stress.

The machine should be securely mounted to adjoining equipment to prevent the machine moving as it operates. If being directly connected to a BEL case sealer or a case hold-down roller conveyor option, it is important that the centers of both be in line for ease of case transfer between them.

The BEL 505G3 is provided with a wooden jig is to assist in aligning the machines. The BEL 505G3 should also be level with, or slightly higher than, the case sealer or optional connecting conveyor for smooth case movement between them.

The BEL 505G3 operates entirely by compressed air using just pneumatic sensor valves and cylinders, there are no electrical requirements.

Be sure the red ON / OFF button is in the DOWN or OFF position before connecting compressed air to the machine.

The air may come from either a separate source or by tapping off the supply of an adjoining case sealer that also uses compressed air.

The BEL 505 G3 comes with a push-to-connect fitting for ¼” O.D. air tubing. The supply must be clean factory air free from excessive moisture and air pressure should be set to 80 psi. for most applications with a minimum setting of 65 psi. and maximum of 100 psi.
