Minor Versionm

by Karl Meinert

Introduction

Follow these pin and dome adjustment tips to ensure quality case forming with your Wexxar case former.

  1. Use the minimum number of pins to grip the case.
    • Use the minimum number of pins to grip the case.

    • Too many pins make it difficult to inject the case onto the pins, and to disengage the pins from the jawplates.

    • If possible, use the inner and outer-most pins that fit the case.

    • While running B Flute or thin corrugate cases, flip the pinblocks so that the pins are closer to the jawplate (the pins are not centered in the pinblock, there is a wider gap on one side, and a narrower gap on the other).

    • Make sure that the pins do not hit the shock absorber when the jaws close.
