Loctite 290 (Green)

Loctite 290 (green) is a “wicking” threadlocker liquid. This means that the Loctite can be applied to fasteners after they’ve been assembled. Because of its low viscosity and capillary action, green Loctite wicks between engaged threads and eliminates the need to disassemble prior to application.

Wexxar is adding green Loctite 290 to our current policy of using blue Loctite 262.

Use green Loctite alongside blue Loctite during sub-assembly and assembly. Green Loctite can also be applied to assembled fasteners during the FAT quality assurance check.

For Pre-assembled Threaded Parts with Thru Holes:

• Apply several drops of product at screw and body juncture.

• Allow Loctite to contact Lexan or plastics.
• Apply to flathead fasteners as it may make them difficult to remove with handtools.
