WF Case Former Washdown Cover

Wexxar/BEL has designed a heavy-duty vinyl washdown cover to prevent damage to machine components caused by caustic chemical build-up during routine floor cleaning beneath the machine. The washdown cover is intended primarily for machines built to Enviroguard 1 specifications.

Machines that meet the Enviroguard 1 standard are already provided with washdown-compliant stainless steel components and fasteners below the level of the machine frame, as well as washdown motors, but caustic cleaning agents still often penetrate the machine’s restrictive envelope, causing degradation of leadscrews, pneumatic cylinder seals, fasteners, gaskets, bearings, and other components essential to proper machine function. Note that all components on machines built according to Enviroguard 2 specifications are constructed of stainless steel, or are fabricated with anodized aluminum, and do not require a washdown cover for machine component protection.

The new washdown cover is fabricated with truck tarp-grade industrial vinyl using the highest standards of construction. It conforms perfectly to the machine’s mast assembly, sliding frame (when retracted), and compression ram (if so equipped), and features reinforced hangers so that the cover can be elevated while not in use and lowered during washdown procedures.
